GSBA Student Video Contest

The Georgia School Boards Association in partnership with the Georgia Vision Project’s Spark campaign are sponsoring a student video contest for member districts, high school students all over Georgia.

Winners will be recognized at the GSBA/ GSSA Annual Conference in Atlanta, December 2, 2016. First place prize is $1000, second place is $500 and third place is $250. Entry deadline is October 24th.

June 6, 2016– The Georgia Vision Project (GVP) and Georgia Aquarium are pleased to announce a newly developed partnership in the area of the GVP’s components of Teaching, Learning and Human and Organizational Capital. The Georgia Vision Project’s Steering and Partner Committee meeting June 9th, 4:00 p.m. Verelst-Percival Room, Hyatt Savannah Riverfront Hotel, Savannah.  (Site of the GSBA Summer Delegate Conference)

Highlights include:

  1. Our first report on the results of the Georgia Vision Project Evaluation.  Dr. Jami Berry of GA State University will be on hand to present the first look at the final report scheduled for publication in August.
  2. John Hightower of ADDO will present the new tools developed for our SPARK Campaign promoting public education in Georgia.
  3. We will introduce some wonderful new Vision Project/SPARK partners.
  4. We will lay out the plans for FY 2017. Some exciting events, initiatives and coalitions to celebrate!

For school year 2015-16, Playworks will serve +1300 schools nationwide and reach over 700,000 children through its evidence based Playworks Coach, Playworks Pro, and Team Up programming.
